Tues. 8/5/14 1:30 p.m. UPDATE: Austin police say Suzanna Hodgson has been found dead at her home in West Austin on Greystone Drive. They say her death is being investigated as a suicide.

The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office says she was found Monday at around 5 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A woman has been charged with intoxication manslaughter for the death of a man in a three-vehicle crash in Bastrop County Tuesday night.

It happened at around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy 71 and FM 1209, just west of the city of Bastrop.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Robbie Barerra, three vehicles were headed westbound on Hwy 71 when a 2006 Toyota Rav 4 -- driven by 28-year-old Suzanne R. Hodgson (pictured) -- struck the rear of a 2001 Chevy pickup truck and both vehicles burst into flames. The pickup truck was then pushed into an 18-wheeler.

The pickup was driven by Lorenzo Ruiz, 26, of Bastrop, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the pickup truck was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge with incapacitating injuries, Barerra says.

The 18-wheeler was driven by 63 year old David Cowan of Prairie Lea. His current condition is unknown.

Hodgson was taken to UMCB with non-life-threatening injuries and later arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter, a second degree felony.
