West Residents Back In Homes

At the press conference that ended moments ago, City of West Officials say residents who live between Oak Street and Walnut will be allowed back in their homes starting at 3pm today.

WEST, Texas -- Federal investigators say residents barricaded from their homes since a massive explosion at a Texas fertilizer plant may be let back in soon.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms spokeswoman Franceska Perot says it's a "possibility" that some families Saturday will be allowed into their damaged neighborhoods.
Many West residents as growing frustrated from not being allowed home since Wednesday night's explosion. Authorities says 14 people died.

Local officials said early Saturday they were waiting on clearance from ATF to update residents. Perot says there are other agencies still working the site besides ATF.
