Kevin Durant Scores 14 Points In Team USA Rout Of Nigeria

Former University of Texas standout Kevin Durant recorded 14 points to help Team USA to a 156-73 victory against Nigeria during Preliminary Round Group A action at the 2012 Olympics on Thursday night.

Durant converted 5-of-9 field goals, including 4-of-7 from three-point range, while adding six assists without a turnover and one steal in 17 minutes. Team USA improved to 3-0 in pool play action.

The Americans return to the court against Lithuania at 8:30 a.m. Central on Saturday, Aug. 4. Team USA concludes preliminary round play against Argentina at 4:15 p.m. Central on Monday, Aug. 6.

The top four teams from each Olympic preliminary round group will advance to the Aug. 8 quarterfinals, with the winners playing in the semifinals on Aug. 10 and the medal games on Aug. 12.
