Lance Berkman Back in Central Texas for Concordia University Fundraiser

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 09:47 PM CDT
2011 World Series champion Lance Berkman played for Concordia University head baseball coach Tommy Boggs with the Austin Slam before taking his career to Rice University. Sunday night, as Boggs and Concordia baseball hosted its annual fundraiser Dining With the Stars, Berkman was back with Boggs.

The 13-year major league veteran was one of several players with extensive big league experience who spoke at Concordia's fundraising event at Round Rock's United Heritage Center.

In 2012, Concordia's baseball team won the American Southwest Conference championship. The Tornados' 37 victories were the most in the program's NCAA history. Lance Berkman Back in Central Texas for Concordia University Fundraiser
