UT Wide Receiver Mike Davis Addresses Personal Issues

Updated: Friday, August 17 2012, 01:57 PM CDT
In 2010, Texas wide receiver Mike Davis broke the UT freshman single-season record for receptions (47). However, he suffered through a sophomore slump in 2011. In 2011, not only did Davis catch fewer passes (45) than in his freshman campaign, but he only reeled in one touchdown.

Friday, Davis admitted that personal issues played a major part in his sub-par season. The junior declined to go into detail about his issues, but admitted that his off-field troubles caused him to lose focus last season, including at times during games. Davis even revealed that he considered giving up football, wondering "if [the game] was meant for him."UT Wide Receiver Mike Davis Addresses Personal Issues
