WEATHER ALERTS:
-Slight risk for severe storms tonight- Hail and high winds are the biggest threats.
After a dry and warm (not hot) day across Central Texas, storms are likely to develop this evening through tonight. They'll likely pop up in the Hill County between 8-10 pm and work their way east-southeastward toward the Austin Metro between 10 pm to 1 am. The storms should move out during the pre-dawn hours leaving clouds behind for the morning rush. These storms could bring between 1/4 to 1/2" rain along with isolated large hail and high winds. It's possible a watch or warnings may be issued, and we'll be tracking the storms all night until the threat passes.
Spring begins at 6:02 am and we'll start the new season on a cloudy, dreary note. By lunchtime, clouds give way to sunshine. Highs will be cooler, only in the 70s.
We warm back into the 80s by late week but a strong cold front moves through over the weekend that could plunge our highs into the upper 60s to start next week.
Take Care!
