Making Family Recipes Healthy

It’s no secret that old favorite family recipes can be laden with cream, butter, cheese or maybe all three. It’s also no secret that grandma and great-grandma maybe liked to fry a few things to a beautiful golden brown perfection.

If you want the flavor but not the unhealthy fat, you can update those family recipes to make them healthier without sacrificing flavor.
 
Scott & White nutritionists are holding a special workshop on Feb. 22 that is free and open to the public.  The workshop will take place at 4 p.m. at the Round Rock Hospital Café. The address is 300 University Blvd. in Round Rock.
