Michael McCaul To Chair House Committee On Homeland Security
An Austin congressman has been selected to be chairman of a powerful House committee.
The House Republican Steering Committee recommended U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul chair the House Committee on Homeland Security in the next Congressional session.
"Our nation faces a variety of homeland security challenges including international and domestic terrorism, securing our borders and preventing cyber attacks," McCaul said.
McCaul’s congressional district reaches from Austin to the suburbs of Houston.
