Police: Woman Stalked Ex-Boyfriend For Months Before Running Over His Mother In South Austin

Police arrested a woman earlier this week for allegedly stalking her ex-boyfriend for months and seriously injuring his mother after running her over with a car.

According to the arrest affidavit, Elizabeth Segundo McClain, 22, is charged with stalking, a third degree felony.

Investigators say she met her ex-boyfriend about three years ago, the last year of which they were in a committed relationship. But the man ended it in early September -- that’s when McClain, according to police, began texting and calling him non-stop for months claiming she needed closure and would make his life miserable.

Court documents say she would call him 20-100 times a day and once texted him 126 times in a row. All the texts were blank, except for two that said, “Annoying Uh?”

The victim blocked her phone number, but she kept calling. He changed his number, but she found it and continued calling and texting, according to police.

He filed several reports with police after their break-up -- He called police after she threatened to drive into his home to get his attention, and he called police earlier this month after she threatened to do something “bad” to him and his family, the affidavit says.

On Monday, according to police, she texted her ex-boyfriend asking whose car was parked in front of his home in South Austin. The car, which had a flat tire and was on a jack, belonged to his mother’s boyfriend. McClain told him she was going to go by his house and knock the car off the jack. The ex-boyfriend called his mother and told her to call the police.

She did and was waiting outside by the car for officers to arrive when McClain showed up and pulled into the driveway. She was asked to leave, and when the woman got behind McClain’s vehicle to get the license plate number police say McClain backed over her, knocking her to the ground and dragging her with the vehicle.

The woman is currently in intensive care with a fractured clavicle, broken wrist, broken ankle, multiple broken ribs and the skin from the entire right side of her body scraped off.

The arrest affidavit says the ex-boyfriend received a text after the incident that said, “How’s life LOL.”

Police have not said if more charges are pending.
