Man Wanted For North Austin Bank Robbery


Austin police have released a surveillance phone of the city’s latest bank robber.

Last Thursday the man robbed the Frost Bank on Hwy 183 just west of I-35.

Police say he walked in, gave an employee a note demanding cash then left with the money.  No one hurt.

The suspect is described as white, 25-30 years old, 5 foot 11 inches tall,   approximately 160 pounds with light brown hair and a thin beard.  He was last seen wearing dark sunglasses, a black baseball cap and a plaid short-sleeved button down shirt with blue jeans.

This is the 17th bank robbery of 2012. At this time last year, there were 24 bank robberies.
