Child Dies In Go-Kart Accident Near Round Top
An 11-year-old girl died in a go-kart accident in Fayette County Sunday.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, the girl was riding near Hackemack Road in the Round Top area. Round Top is about 75 miles east of Austin.
When she did not come home, her parents went looking for her. They found that she had wrecked the go cart and had severe injuries. She died at a nearby hospital.
The Sheriff's Office has not released the girl's identity.
