Police: Man Who Attacked Elderly Person Arrested
A man accused a beating up an elderly person in Austin is now behind bars.
Police say on Dec. 9, Jonathan E. Hodges, 32, broke into a home on North Bend Drive near Lamar Boulevard and Braker Lane. Hodges assaulted the victim then stole cash, jewelry and credit cards, detectives say.
Emergency services found out about crime when the victim pushed his or her Life Alert Personal Safety Device.
Hodges is charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony.
