Georgetown Police Issue Warning Over Suspicious Man

Georgetown police have issued a warning to be on the lookout for a possible homeless man that has been aggressive towards women.

Investigators say the man approached a woman on Wednesday in front of a local business and grabbed her, but when she resisted he ran away into a wooded area before police could arrive. The next day a man matching the same physical description approached another woman in the same area, but she was able to enter a business before he could make contact with her. Again, he fled into a wooded area nearby.

Police say they believe the suspect is homeless and staying in the wooded area along the river bottom of the San Gabriel River.

He is described as a black male, about 6’ to 6’2” tall, weighing between 200-230 pounds and wearing a camouflage jacket.

Georgetown Police are asking that anyone that may have seen this suspect or have any information that may lead to his identification to call the police department at 512-930-3510 or contact Sergeant Bill Pascoe in the Crimes Against Persons Unit of the Georgetown Police Department at 512-930-8407 or email at bill.pascoe@georgetown.org.
