Blue Santa Delivers Holiday Cheer


Austin children who are spending this Christmas in the hospital received a little holiday cheer on Monday.   

Dozens of volunteers with Blue Santa brought toys and other gifts to more than a hundred kids staying at the Dell Children's Medical Center.

Room by room, the volunteers surprised children, many who were too sick to get out of bed.

"That was such a special moment for our family. It just brightened her day and you can tell she has a big smile on her face now," said Carolyn House, a mother of one of the children.

This year, Blue Santa volunteers helped more than 3,500 struggling families across Central Texas have a merry Christmas.
