1 Dead In Far North Austin House Fire


One person died in a house fire in far North Austin early Thursday morning.

The call came in around 2:45 a.m.to 13125 Kellies Farm Lane off of Scofield Ridge Parkway.

According to neighbors, four college-age people live in the house. Three of the people are accounted for.  One person inside died.
The second floor of the house partially collapsed on to the first.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire, but the strong winds made it hard. The fire jumped and also caught a neighbor’s garage on fire and a fence.

The Red Cross has been contacted to provide assistance.

According to officials, the smoke detectors inside the home were working and woke up the residents. People inside the home and neighbors called 911.
