Elderly Manor Residents Become Target Of Thief

A crime alert in the City of Manor -- a home invader is targeting elderly residents.

"She was like pushing down the victim. One of them was 96-years-old,” says Renne Coke, a Manor-area resident.

There have been two incidents in less than five days. The suspect is described as a black female, thin, short hair, and last seen wearing a track suit. Police believe she’s walking right off the street, ringing the doorbell and forcing her way into homes.

"Obviously they knew there were elderly people living there and they could overpower them and go into their home,” says Sgt. Ryan Phipps, Manor Police Department.

She’s after small items, like jewelry. Police have some leads, but in the meantime have picked up patrols. So far only homes in Old Manor have been hit.
