Gun Debate Fuels Run On Guns And Problems For Police

The debate over gun restrictions has gun rights supporters here at home setting their sights on any efforts at gun control.

Om Wednesday, District 25 Congressman Roger Williams reiterated his strong support for the Second Amendment and his strong opposition to "the president's unnecessary and unwise executive orders on gun ownership as well as his plans to seek further legislative restrictions in congress."

Talk of guns being taken off the market has created a run on guns. Just ask Rollingwood Police Chief Dayne Pryor. He says, "This is the first time I've seen where it's difficult to find any weapon that's used in law enforcement besides rifles, even hand guns."

Chief Pryor says he's frustrated because the run on guns is making it harder for his department to protect and to serve, and the debate that's fueling it isn't even addressing the real problem. The chief wants to talk about securing our school buildings.
