Source: Lance Armstrong Considers Confessing

(AP)- Cyclist Lance Armstrong could be considering a public admission to using performance-enhancing drugs, according to a report by the New York Times.

The report based on anonymous sources says Armstrong has told associates he is thinking about admitting he used performance-enhancing drugs in an effort to restore his athletic career in triathlons and running events at age 41.

Lance Armstrong's attorney, Tim Herman, denies the Times report; that the former cyclist has decided to admit to doping charges that cost him his seven Tour de France titles.

Tim Herman says he has no knowledge of Armstrong considering a confession.
