Man Arrested For Llano County Bank Robbery

A man was arrested last Friday in Arlington for a bank robbery in Llano County earlier this month.

The Llano County Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Benton Paul Buratti robbed the American Bank of Texas, located at 311 RR 2900 in Kingsland, on Jan. 4

Investigators say he passed a note to a teller.  No weapon displayed, but he fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.

Deputies say they were able to follow up on a Hill Country Crime Stopper's tip and other information from the public to identify Buratti as the suspect in the robbery and issued a warrant for his arrest.

He was found last Friday at a hotel in Arlington and arrested without incident.

Investigators believe Buratti did not act alone. A possible person of interest is a white female.

Anyone with information should call the Llano County Sheriffs Office and ask for Investigator Boswell at 325-247-5767.  Persons who wish to remain anonymous can contact Hill Country Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-8477.
