Winter Storm Moves East After Covering West Texas
DALLAS (AP) -- Parts of Interstate 10 in West Texas shut down due to snow have reopened but transportation officials say scattered winter storm closures continue.
The Texas Department of Transportation says I-10 in the Anthony and El Paso area reopened early Friday. Sections of I-10 in the Van Horn area, about 110 miles southeast of El Paso, remained closed due to ice and blowing snow that affected visibility.
The El Paso Independent School District delayed the start of classes for two hours Friday.
The National Weather Service says parts of North and Central Texas faced the possibility of light snow Friday.
