Power Outage Hits Hays County
About 5,000 Pedernales Electric Cooperative customers in Hays County were without power Friday afternoon.
According to Ann Harvey with PEC, the power outage is in the areas of Wimberley, Kyle and Dripping Springs. It began at the Wimberley substation. The cause has not yet been determined.
Crews are making emergency repairs, according to PEC. Customers with power interruptions can call PEC's automated phone line at 888-883-3379.
