Man Killed After Crashing Into East Austin Ditch Identified
The man killed earlier this week after crashing his car in an East Austin ditch has been identified.
At around 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, emergency crews went to a call of an accident at 5006 Sara Dr., off Springdale Road east of Airport Boulevard.
They found a car in a concrete drainage ditch on fire. After they put it out, they discovered a body, identified as 35-year-old Bobby Jamil Westmoreland, inside.
Police do not know yet what caused the crash.
This is Austin's 5th traffic fatality of 2013.
