Pflugerville Easement Dispute Leads To Boil Water Notice

UPDATE Feb. 27: Boil water notice has been canceled.

Some Pflugerville residents have to boil their water before drinking after an easement dispute between a homeowner and a water company turned ugly.

According to the Manville Water Supply Corporation a homeowner was upset that a water line was running through an easement on their property.  And on Monday the owner hired a contractor to dig up 1,000 feet of the line.

The water company says the Travis County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene, but didn't do anything.

Now, water customers on Nimbus Drive, Vapor Drive, Cumulus Drive, Halo Drive and West Pflugerville Loop between Edgemere and Central Commerce need to bring their water to vigorous boil for at least two minutes to ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes -- water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use.

The boil water notice is in effect until further notice.

This is the second time Manville has issued a boil water notice in a week.
