Fayette County Deputies Find Large Marijuana Stash In Spare Tire

Two men were arrested Wednesday in Fayette County after deputies allegedly found a large marijuana stash in their vehicle's spare tire.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says they conducted a traffic stop on I-10 and observed several criminal indicators that led them to ask permission to search the vehicle – which they say was granted.

During the search deputies say they found approximately 42 pounds of marihuana in the spare tire of the vehicle

Paul Ortiz, 21, and Robert Garza, 45, both from McAllen, were arrested and taken to the Fayette County jail and charged with possession of marihuana.
