Statewide Warrant Roundup Starts Friday
Pay or go to jail -- that's the message police want you to hear loud and clear because the Great Texas Warrant Roundup starts Friday.
Across the state, people with outstanding warrants owe millions of dollars. In the fast growing city of Kyle, there are more than 8,000 outstanding warrants. That city alone has more than $3 million in uncollected fines.
Police in Kyle along with agencies in Travis, Hays and other counties across the state will be hitting the street. Police say it's simple -- either show up here city hall and pay off your tickets or get locked up. Officers will be calling, leaving notices on your door and might even show up at your job.
