Former Navy SEAL's Memorial Service At Cowboys Stadium Ends

The two-hour memorial service for slain ex-Navy SEAL Chris Kyle has ended.

Bagpipers played as Kyle's flag-draped coffin was carried out of Cowboys Stadium. Some of the nearly 7,000 people who attended have started leaving the stadium.

Kyle's widow, Taya Kyle, told mourners that he'll always be with her.

His friends and military service members said he was a dedicated family man known for his sense of humor, compassion, selflessness and generosity. His colleagues say no one was better with a gun. Kyle retired as the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history

Iraq War veteran Eddie Ray Routh, 25, has been charged in the Feb. 2 killings of Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield at a North Texas gun range.

Kyle completed four tours of duty in Iraq and wrote the best-selling book "American Sniper."

On Tuesday, there will be a procession from Midlothian to Austin where he will be buried in the Texas State Cemetery.
