Embattled Bastrop County Animal Services Director Resigns
The Bastrop County Animal Services Director has resigned less than a week after being arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Diane Mollaghan was arrested last Saturday morning on suspicion of DWI.
Before that incident Mollaghan was accused by volunteers at the shelter of keeping animals in unsanitary conditions.
Now, the Bastrop County judge says Mollaghan has submitted a letter of resignation -- the county's commissioners reviewed the letter on Friday during a special meeting and accepted her resignation.
