Travis County Deputies Searching For Hit And Run Suspect


The Travis County Sheriff's Office is searching for a dump truck involved in a hit and run that seriously injured a motorcycle rider -- resulting in the amputation of his left foot.

It happened last Friday at around 6:40 a.m. on FM 973 between Burleson Road and F.M. 812.

The victim was riding a motorcycle south bound on FM 973 when he was side-swiped by a white, three-axel dump truck, similar to the one shown above. The dump truck was traveling northbound on FM 973 heading toward the Del Valle Correctional Complex.

The victim suffered serious foot and hand injuries which resulted in the amputation of his left foot.
