Police Investigating Stabbing/Suspicious Death In North Austin
Police say they're investigating a suspicious death in North Austin after a woman was stabbed.
It happened at around 1 p.m. in the 1100 block of Rutland Drive, just north of Rundberg Lane and west of Lamar Boulevard.
Police say the stabbing victim, described only as a woman, was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the stabbing was the result of a fight between two women roommates.
The other woman was also transported to UMCB, but with minor injuries.
Investigators are calling the incident suspicious, but murder charges have not been filed.
Police say the investigation continues.
