Former Longhorn Gives The Homebound Hope

Some of Austin's homebound older folks got a wonderful Valentine's Day surprise.

Their Meals on Wheels were delivered by pro football player and former Longhorn star, Cory Redding.

The Indianapolis Colts' Defensive End makes Austin home during the off season.

He gives back in many ways to the community through his foundation.

He was even named man of the year by the Colts last year because of his many volunteer efforts.

Redding really lit up the faces of the seniors when he walked in with their hot lunch and visited.

He says giving to those in need is one of the best parts of being a celebrity athlete, "to lift people up and put a smile on their face and tell them you love them and give them a little bit of food. Just being there is pretty humbling."
