Arrest Made In Pflugerville Attempted Child Abduction

Police say an arrest has been made in the attempted abduction of two Pflugerville children.

The attempted kidnapping happened at around 7:15 a.m. Wednesday on the hike and bike trail in the 2500 block of Quiet Water Pass, just east of SH 130 and south of Kelly Lane.

The two girls, ages 9 and 10, told police that as they were walking to Murchison Elementary they were approached from behind by a man who put his hand on one of the girl's shoulders. When the girl screamed he put his hand over her mouth. The other girl ran away and the girl held by the man was able to break free and run to safety.

Police say they arrested 23-year-old Justin Michael Johnson Thursday night

Police say that during their investigation they spoke to Johnson who immediately said that he had shaved his beard and stopped driving his red truck due to the all of the media coverage regarding the situation.

After a lengthy interview Johnson confessed to incident with the girls, according to police

He has been charged with two counts of attempted aggravated kidnapping, a second degree felony, and is being held on $300,000 bond.
