Fayette County Traffic Stop Leads To Large Pot Bust

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says a traffic stop on Monday turned into a drug arrest after more than 100 pounds of marijuana were found in the car.

It happened on Monday at approximately 11:27 a.m. on I-10 at mile marker 658.

The Sheriff's Office says a K-9 unit stopped a 2004 Nissan 350 Z sports car and a deputy was given consent to search the vehicle by the driver.

Approximately 175 pounds of marijuana were found in a speaker area behind the driver and passenger seats.

Sandra Seale, 43, of Rio Grande City, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
