Child Dies From Injuries In Northwest Austin Car Crash


A 4-year-old child critically injured in a Northwest Austin car crash Tuesday afternoon has died.

The crash happened at around 3 p.m. in the 12500 block of Riata Vista Circle, south of Parmer Lane and east of McNeil Drive.

Police say a car carrying three children and one adult went off the road for an unknown reason and hit a tree.

The adult, identified only as a woman, was sent to Round Rock Medical Center with serious injuries.

A 4-year-old child with life threatening injuries was transported to Dell Children's Medical Center where she died a few hours later.

Her twin sister suffered only minor injuries in the crash.

A five year-old boy was also seriously injured in the wreck, but is expected to survive.
