APD: Woman's Eyeball Pulled From Socket During Central Austin Fight
Austin police have arrested a woman for allegedly yanking another woman's eyeball out of its socket during a fight.
According to the arrest affidavit, 20-year-old Talicia Morrison (pictured) is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony
It happened last Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of Northcrest Circle, just south of Hwy 183 and west of I-35.
Police say officers arrived to the scene and found the victim screaming in pain with her eyeball popped out of its socket. Witnesses identified Morrison as the suspect and gave officers a description of the vehicle she had left the scene in.
The victim told officers that Morrison had grabbed her face, then her eye and "dug her fingers up in there."
The affidavit says the vehicle was found and Morrison was taken to Austin Police Department Headquarters for questioning where she admitted to fighting the victim. She speculated her fingernail might have popped the victim's eye out of its socket.
Police say she had several broken fingernails from the fight.
Court documents say the victim had to be sedated at a hospital to have her eyeball reinserted -- the full extent of the damage done has not yet been determined.
