Man Shot In Attempted East Austin Robbery
A man was shot in an attempted robbery in East Austin early Tuesday morning.
Police say it happened around 5:30 a.m. on Dubuque Lane, just north of Manor Road and west of Highway 183.
According to officials a man approached another man and attempted to rob him. Shots were fired and the victim was struck. The victim was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge. Police say the victim was conscious and talking with authorities.
The suspect is only described as a man dressed in all black and left the scene in a black sedan. Police say the suspect has not been located.
The incident remains under investigation.
