Wildfire Burning Near Waco

Authorities say a wildfire that started from a campfire 35 miles southwest of Waco has burned about 130 acres and threatens five homes.

Texas Forest Service spokeswoman Mary Kay Hicks says the wildfire that started Sunday was about 40 percent contained Monday afternoon.

Hicks says three of the five threatened homes were evacuated overnight but those who live there were allowed back Monday morning.

She says officials previously thought the fire began in Mother Neff State Park, but says it actually started in Iron Bridge Park in Bell County. Flames have since moved into Coryell County.

She says officials are concerned about the wind picking up Monday afternoon. She added that the fire is in a rugged area that's difficult to access.
