APD Searching For Sexual Assault Suspect

The Austin Police Department is searching for a sexual assault suspect after a woman riding a bike was attacked in East Austin.

APD says a woman was attacked in the 1900 Block of College Row near East 11th Street and Chicon Street in East Austin on Friday morning around 1 a.m.

Police say the victim was riding a bike on College Row when a black male exited a White Quad Cab Style 4 Door Pick-up and forced her into the backseat of the truck where the assault happened.

Police say the truck was driven by a second unknown suspect.

APD says the victim was able to escape and flagged down a patrol car near East 12 street and N IH 35.

The suspect is described:
Black/Male
6’0, 280 pounds with a muscular build
Short hair, no facial hair,
Wearing diamond stud earrings in both ears.
Gold Upper Teeth

The suspect was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with an unknown design on the front and oversized saggy dark jeans.

The driver is described as possibly a light skinned Hispanic male.
